Financial Arrangements

How are financial arrangements handled?

Please contact the Center prior to surgery for pre-admission instructions and financial arrangements.  Feel free to look at our participating Managed Care Providers to verify your insurance is accepted at our center. You, your surgeon and/or your insurance company may request, in advance, an estimate or pre-authorization  for your surgery.  Our staff will help you finalize your financial arrangements before your surgery.

The fee for the use of the Center includes a basic medical history, routine equipment and supplies, pre-operative services, routine drugs and anesthetics administered while in the Center, operating room time and recovery room services.  The fee DOES NOT include the cost for the professional services of your surgeon, radiologist, a pathologist or anesthesiologist.

Most outpatient surgical procedure are covered by standard medical insurance.  Patients may be asked for a partial payment upon admission to the Center, subject to the terms of insurance coverage.  Full payment is required at the time of admittance for non-covered procedure and for patients who do not have medical insurance.  However, the Center recognizes its obligation to remain flexible in financial matters.  We require all payment arrangements be made prior to your surgery.

American Stroke Month

A stroke occurs when arteries that supply blood to the brain are blocked or damaged. When a blood clot or bleeding occurs as a result, vital areas of the brain are damaged. And, the longer the bleeding occurs, the more damage to the brain. So, it’s important to recognize the symptoms of a stroke: sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg (can affect one side of the body); sudden confusion or trouble understanding and speaking; sudden vision problems; sudden trouble walking, dizziness and loss of balance; and sudden severe headaches.
